Morghan LeFavour
Morghan LeFavour first began her training at a local dance studio when she was 7 years old. There she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance. She also was a part of the studio’s performance company, with which she traveled to regional dance competitions, studied at dance conventions such as the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM), and performed at local community events. In 2013, Morghan began dancing at Astound Dance Academy, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and acrodance. She danced with the Astound Performance Company from her start in 2013, to her graduation in 2018. Through the performance company, she had the opportunity to not only travel to regional dance competitions, but was also able to further her dance education at conventions and workshops throughout the Midwest. Morghan has also trained under the guidance of Kevin Grant, Lauren Dini, Megan Dini, Beth McLeish, and various guest instructors at Project Ballet in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Morghan began teaching in the winter of 2014, after having had several years of experience working as an assistant instructor. Since she began teaching, Morghan has been very passionate about gaining as much knowledge as she can so that she may better serve her students. This passion has led her to attend multiple conventions, workshops, and certification classes around the country. She continues to seek out any opportunity she can to further her knowledge of dance and teaching techniques. Morghan has recently completed her certifications for Module One of the Acrobatic Arts program, and Module Two of The Ballet Method program. When she isn’t teaching, Morghan is working towards completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She hopes that this degree will help her further her career as an instructor.
Morghan hopes to continue to inspire and pass along her knowledge and passion for dance to her students, she is so excited to be entering her sixth season teaching at Kimiko Academy of Dance!
